NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A person was hit by a train at the 23rd Street C and E subway station in Chelsea on Thursday, according to the MTA.
The transit authority announced the incident just after 3:40 p.m. and said emergency responders are on their way.
Northbound C and E trains are running express from Canal Street to Midtown in order to avoid the incident.
Officials have not yet announced the condition of the person struck or the circumstances that caused the incident.
