NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD said a person is in custody following a fatal stabbing that killed a 26-year-old Queens man Monday night.
Officers responded to a 911 call at around 8:50 p.m., in front of an apartment building near 89th Avenue and Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica and found Christopher Roche with a stab wound to his back, authorities said.
Police said Roche was pronounced dead at the scene.
An individual was taken into custody at the scene but has not been charged as of Tuesday afternoon.
Sources told AMNY Roche was stabbed after a dispute but the nature of the argument has not been fully established.
