NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- As Israel continues to mourn the loss of at least 1,300 of its civilians and military personnel from last weekend's Hamas terror attack, thousands of miles back in New York City, posters with pictures of the missing -- presumed to have been abducted and taken to Gaza or killed -- are popping up from SoHo to the Upper West Side.
On Prince Street near Broadway in Soho, there's posters for Gadi Moses, 80, and Idan Shtivi, 28, both missing. There's also a heartbreaking poster for a family ranging in age from 3 to 65, also abducted from their home.
Several blocks away on the Upper West Side on West 79th Street east of Broadway, there are more posters -- including a 9-month-old baby, Kfir, who was abducted from his home.
"It brings it home," one passer-by told 1010 WINS reporter Marla Diamond of the posters.
Another passer-by said, "I think it's powerful to see it out in public like this."
It's unclear who posted them, but the same posters appeared this week at a vigil in Berlin, Germany.
