NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An SUV crashed into a Queens residential building overnight forcing an evacuation early Monday morning, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to a 911 call of a vehicle slamming into a building located at 46-08 70th Street, near the corner of Queens Boulevard in Maspeth just after 1:30 a.m.

One person was taken to an area hospital, officials said. The extent of their injuries was unknown.
Department of Buildings inspectors were on the scene Monday morning following the crash to conduct a stability inspection, according to a spokesperson for the department.
An investigation determined that a 16-foot section of the front and sidewall, at the corner of the first floor, had been knocked out of place by the collision.
An emergency shoring was installed at the corner by first responders to prevent a collapse from happening.
The building was deemed unsafe for occupancy and the DOB was issued a full vacate order, authorities said.
All building residents have been offered relocation assistance by the Red Cross.
Police are investigating what led to the collision.
