NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man is wanted for allegedly putting a 12-year-old boy in a chokehold during a robbery in Queens last week, police said Monday as they released surveillance footage of the suspect.
At approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, the boy was walking in the vicinity of 100th Street and 25th Avenue in Eat Elmhurst, when he was approached him from behind by the suspect, authorities said.
According to officials, the suspect then placed the victim in a chokehold and forcibly removed the victim's cellphone before fleeing on foot toward 27th Avenue.
The victim refused medical attention.
