NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating after a teen girl was hit by a school bus while attempting to cross the street in Queens Tuesday morning.
Just before 8 a.m., police received reports of a child struck by a school bus.
Upon arrival, officials discovered a 16-year-old girl was struck by the school bus when crossing the street at 21st street and 41st Avenue in Astoria.
The girl suffered minor injuries but said she had a headache. EMS transported her to Weill Cornell Medicine - Long Island City.
So far there have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
