NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police were searching Thursday for the elusive gunman who shot and wounded a man on a street in Hell's Kitchen.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting weren't immediately clear, but shots were fired just before 6:15 a.m. at West 52nd Street and 11th Avenue.
The victim was struck once in the back as a gunman wearing all black opened fire, according to police.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside with non-life-threatening injuries, the FDNY said.
The gunman quickly fled the scene and was last seen headed southbound on 11th Avenue. No description of him has been released.
