The fight happened around 11:50 a.m. at Intermediate School 49 on Warren Street in Clifton when the angry mother lunged at the NYPD employee, punching and kicking him, sources told the Daily News.

The two were allegedly arguing because the mother had sent her 14-year-old son to pick up his 12-year-old sister, according to the source.

The school safety agent told the boy he couldn’t release the 12-year-old student with him because of his age. After leaving, the 14-year-old came back with his mom and her pet pitbull.

“[The mom] straight up attacked him,” the source told the Daily News. “He explained that he could not release her child to another minor, and she didn’t like that, so she attacked him and they went on the floor.”

Police said the woman, whose name was not yet released, is expected to be charged with assault in the second degree.

The school safety agent was taken to a hospital with bruises and scratches.
