NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials on Tuesday announced they busted an underground strip club in Brooklyn earlier this month for operating in violation of pandemic restrictions.

Police responded to Paper Rain in Cypress Hills after seeing advertisements the bar was having a “stripper party” from 6 p.m. to midnight on Dec. 1, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.

When authorities entered the gentleman's club, they discovered “exotic dancers” giving their customers lap dances, as well as both patrons and employees failing to social distance or wear face masks.

A dancer was also standing and drinking at the bar, the state said.

According to the state, the party violated the state's 10 p.m. curfew implemented by Cuomo on bars and restaurants in order to slow the spread of coronavirus.

"Paper Rain’s" liquor license was suspended on Dec. 4, the state saidk adding that the bar’s liquor license does not allow for "adult entertainment."

“Businesses found in violation of COVID-19 regulations face fines up to $10,000 per violation, while egregious violations can result in the immediate suspension of a bar or restaurant’s liquor license,” Cuomo said.

On Tuesday, Cuomo announced that 36 additional bars and restaurants had their liquor licenses revoked for failing to comply with executive orders, bringing the total to 279.
