NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a woman accused of punching a rider aboard an Upper Manhattan subway train over the weekend, authorities said.
Just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10, the 27-year-old victim was seated aboard a northbound 1 train heading into the 116 Street-Columbia University subway station in Morningside Heights, the victim accidently elbowed the suspect who was seated next to them, officials said.
The suspect then proceeded to punch the victim in the face causing minor injuries before she fled to parts unknown.
The victim exited the train at the 116 Street- Columbia University subway station and was was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.
Officials on Wednesday released a photo of the suspect who they said has gauge earrings, a nose piercing and a tattoo on her left arm.
