NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police on Wednesday released surveillance footage of a suspect who allegedly slashed a man on an escalator at Brooklyn subway station last week, authorities said.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24, a 29-year-old man was walking up the escalators at the Smith–Ninth Street subway station in Gowanus when he was approached by the suspect who slashed him with an unknown sharp object in the torso, causing a cut.
The suspect then fled on foot towards the northbound platform to parts unknown.
The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, white sneakers and black book bag.
