NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD said they have arrested the gunman in Monday's shooting of a bystander outside Penn Station.
Marvin Bruce, 27, of Brooklyn is charged with assault and possession of a weapon.
Police said the victim was shot by a stray bullet during a dispute with a 56-year-old in the vicinity of West 31 Street and 7th Avenue around 5:40 p.m.
Authorities said Bruce missed his target and struck the victim in the thigh.
CBS 2 reports the incident began after Bruce got into an argument over food with a man inside the West Side train station — firing a gun once outside, but striking the other man instead.
The gunman fled foot southbound on 7th Avenue, according to officials. However, the NYPD announced his arrest on Thursday.
The victim is expected to recover from his injuries, according to CBS 2.
