Suspect in SUV who slashed man's face during a Bronx fight sought by NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify a knife-wielding man sought in connection to a slashing that happened during a fight on a Bronx street over the weekend, authorities said.

Just after 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, in front of 1017 Leggett Avenue in the Woodstock neighborhood, a 30-year old man got into a verbal dispute with an unknown man that escalated into a physical confrontation, police said.


According to officials, while the two men were physically fighting, a third unknown man exited a nearby white SUV, produced a knife, and slashed the 30-year old man in the face causing a laceration and bleeding.

The two unknown men entered a parked white SUV and fled the location in an unknown direction.

EMS transported the victim to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition where he was treated for his injuries.

The man with the knife is described as being approximately in his 30's last seen wearing a red hoodie and dark clothing.
