NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released photos on Thursday of a man wanted for targeting women across Queens, ripping jewelry directly off their necks in a weeks-long robbery spree that began last month.

The first theft occurred at about 4:25 p.m. on June 24, when the suspect targeted three women in under two hours. He first approached a 37-year-old woman from behind at 111th Avenue and Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica, snatching her $1,000 gold pendant.

Just an hour later, he ripped two necklaces off a 65-year-old woman near Merrick and Linden Boulevards. At 6 p.m., he approached a 61-year-old woman as she walked to her car on 164th Street, and stole a necklace worth $1,800, police said.

The suspect struck again on July 10 around midday, stealing $1,250 worth of necklaces from a 62-year-old woman near Roosevelt Avenue and 74th Street.

Police said he returned to Roosevelt Avenue on July 18 to rob a 29-year-old woman of her $600 necklace, and again on July 20 to snatch a $400 necklace and pendant from a 17-year-old girl near 61st Street.

According to officials, the suspect has stolen over $5,000 worth of jewelry.

An investigation remains ongoing.
