NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released photos of a suspect wanted in a double slashing assault that occurred at a Queens subway station on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened at approximately 3:15 p.m. on the southbound E train platform of the Union Turnpike-Kew Gardens subway station.

According to officials, the suspect approached two men—ages 42 and 50 —from behind and slashed them with an unknown sharp object.

The 42-year-old victim was slashed in the forehead and was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. The 50-year-old victim was slashed in the face and transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, police said.

Both victims are reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene on foot. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.
