Suspect sought in fatal hit-and-run that killed homeless man

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A homeless man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver while he was crossing the street in Brooklyn, the New York Post reported.

According to witnesses, the unidentified man who was in his 60s was pushing a shopping cart on 108th Street near Stanley Ave. in East New York around 4 a.m. Saturday, sources told the Post.

The man was hit by a driver traveling northbound on 108th St., police said.

Officials pronounced the victim dead at the scene. No arrests have been made as of yet.
