NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man accused of stabbing a victim after robbing him of his chain earlier this month in Brooklyn authorities said.
At approximately 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, a 42-year-old man was walking in front of 479 56th St. in Sunset Park when he was approached by the suspect who stole the victim's gold chain from his neck.

According to officials, a physical altercation ensued as the victim attempted to retrieve his necklace.
The suspect then displayed an unknown sharp object and stabbed the victim in the stomach.
The thief fled the location on foot heading westbound on 56th Street.
The victim was transported to NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn in stable condition.
The suspect was last seen wearing a dark blue t-shirt, blue jeans shorts and black & red sneakers. Cops said he spoke in Spanish during the incident.
