
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 17-year-old was assaulted and stabbed at a Manhattan subway station by a group of six men he knew on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

Around 4:20 p.m., the victim went into the East 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue subway station waiting for the 6 train, police said.
According to officials, six people in black hoodies and masks approached the victim once he was on the subway platform and attacked him, punching and kicking him throughout his body.
After beating him up, one of the suspects took out a knife and stabbed the teen multiple times before the group fled the scene, cops said.
Emergency responders transported the victim to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition. He had to have multiple staples and other medical treatment.
