NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is investigating after a teen boy was shot in the stomach during a drive-by shooting Sunday night in Brooklyn, officials said.
According to police, at about 7 p.m. a gunman sitting in the front passenger seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee struck the 16-year-old boy near Newkirk Avenue and East 34th Street in East Flatbush.

EMS rushed the teen to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, authorities said.
Officials said the gunman sped off in the dark-colored Grand Cherokee, heading eastbound on Newkirk Avenue.
An investigation remains ongoing.
