NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a shooting that left a teenager dead and four others wounded outside a McDonald's in the Bronx on Saturday night, police said.
Luis Cruz, 18, was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon Monday night, the NYPD said Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting multiple people shot behind the McDonald's outside Claremont Park at Webster Avenue and Belmont Street in Claremont just after 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Responding officers found a 17-year-old boy unconscious with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to BronxCare Health System, where he was pronounced dead.
Police later identified him as Armanis Valdez of the Bronx.

Four other people who were shot were taken to BronxCare Health System by private means, police said.
A 31-year-old man was shot in the left leg; a 28-year-old woman was shot in the right leg; a 25-year-old man was shot twice in the right leg; and a 24-year-old man was shot in the right buttocks and left leg, according to police.
All four victims were in stable condition.

Cruz' attorney information wasn't immediately available Tuesday. An investigation is ongoing.
