NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A teenage boy was critically injured after he was shot in the head in Brooklyn early Tuesday, authorities said.
The shooting happened at about 12:20 a.m. near the courtyard area of Flatbush Garden Apartments in East Flatbush, officials said.
Upon arrival, officers found the 17-year-old boy, whose identity has not been released, unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS rushed him to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
The shooting comes only days after 18-year-old Javon Johnnie was shot and killed near his home by the Coney Island boardwalk. The gunman remains at large.
