NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD was searching Monday for three teenage suspects wanted for beating and stabbing a 17-year-old boy for his hoodie at a Brooklyn subway station.
The NYPD released suspect images over the weekend in connection with the attack, which happened Jan. 4 at the Livonia Avenue station on the L line in Brownsville.
The victim was at the station around 4:50 p.m. when the three suspects—believed to be between 14 and 18 years old—tried to steal his hooded sweatshirt, police said.
The victim resisted, so the teens punched him, and one of them stabbed him in the leg, according to police.
EMS transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
