NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for two suspects who robbed and opened fire inside a Manhattan 7-Eleven last month, authorities said Wednesday.
It was reported to police that on Tuesday, January 31, at approximately 2:45 a.m., two men entered a 7-Eleven store located at 395 Third Ave. in Kips Bay.
The first suspect approached the register and demanded money from a 27-year-old employee before displaying a firearm and shooting a round in the air.
A second man acted as a lookout, displaying a knife while preventing a second employee from leaving the location, officials said.
The suspects then placed both employees on the floor behind the counter, where one of them shot another round into the floor before taking approximately $700 from the register.
Both suspects fled northbound on Third Avenue to parts unknown.
The 27-year-old employee was taken to an area hospital for a minor injury to his eye.
