Thief pulls knife on Brooklyn Dollar General store manager, takes $110 in candy

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who threatened at a Brooklyn dollar store manager with a knife before then stole over $100 worth of candy last month.

At around 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 11, the suspect went into the Dollar General store located at 1192 Myrtle Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant and placed assorted candies worth about $110 inside a bag authorities said.


According to officials, the suspect began getting physical and combative and menaced the store manager with a knife as he attempted to exit the store with the stolen items, authorities said.

The suspect fled on foot to parts unknown and no injuries were reported in this incident.
