
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A suspect who robbed a Manhattan Duane Reade and then returned to attack two workers with a bike chain on Tuesday is wanted by police.
Around 1:40 p.m., the thief went into the Chelsea Duane Reade at 777 6th Ave. and stole about $1,750 worth of products, authorities said.
Before leaving with the stolen products, the robber threatened to return and hurt the employees behind the counter, according to officials.
The suspect did return to the store about 10-15 minutes later, this time with a bike chain in hand. The attacker then went behind the counter and hit a 42-year-old and 60-year-old with the chain and fled the scene, authorities said.

Both victims were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue to be treated for lacerations and swelling.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male approximately 42 - 47 years of age, 5''11" tall, 185lbs and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark blue jeans, white sneakers and a baseball cap.
