NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An Upper East Side man connected to the January 6 insurrection was sentenced in Manhattan court Monday for weapons charges, District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced.

The QAnon conspiracy theorist, 33-year-old Samuel Fisher, was found with several illegal firearms at an Upper East Side apartment including a modified semi-automatic AR-15 style assault rifle, a “ghost gun” pistol, a shotgun, as well as 11 pre-loaded high-capacity magazines, court documents show.

Fisher boasted the weapons on social media under the pseudonym "Brad Holiday," posting photos of himself with the weapons with one caption reading “Can’t wait to bring a liberal back to this freedom palace.”

“Samuel Fisher is a dangerous conspiracy theorist who participated in one of the gravest attacks on our democracy,” said DA Bragg. “Not only did he threaten to commit violence against his fellow citizens, he had the potential to follow through with his arsenal of advanced weaponry and ammunition. Today’s sentencing makes clear that we will hold accountable those who possess illegal firearms and high-capacity magazines in our city. I thank our talented attorneys for their hard work delivering justice in this incredibly important case.”
An investigation revealed Fisher believed the 2020 election was stolen and touted the beliefs as motivation to attend the insurrection. On January 6, Fisher published a blog writing about the need to “stand up to the evils of this Government… and remove them physically,” titling it “January 6, 2021 Will Be the Most Historically Important Day of Our Lives.”

Fisher also bragged about being at the capital on January 6 after the fact, telling a friend “I was there . . . it was awesome” …“it was dangerous and violent” and, “in all seriousness and get ready . . . get in shape and see if you can find someone that knows medical/veteran w/ combat experience.”
The weapons and ammunition were recovered from Fisher’s apartment through a warrant issued two weeks after the insurrection.
Fisher pled guilty to criminal possession of a weapon and was sentenced to 3 ½ years in prison and 3 years post-release supervision.
