NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – A group of men armed with a wrench and a blade slashed and beat a man unconscious on a Bronx street, police said Sunday as they released video of the attack and the three suspects they're searching for.
The 34-year-old victim was near Prospect and Westchester avenues in the Longwood section on the morning of Aug. 4 when the group of men struck up a conversation with him.
The trio then attacked him—punching him, striking him with a wrench and slashing him with a blade, police said.
One of the men then knocked the victim to the ground, where all three men continued to attack him until he lost consciousness, according to police.
EMS responded to the scene and took the victim to an area hospital, where he was treated for a slash wound to his arm and pain to his body.
