NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a dirt-bike-riding gunman who shot at a man on a Bronx street in the middle of the afternoon this week.
The NYPD released surveillance video of a suspect on Friday, two days after he allegedly opened fire on a 25-year-old man sitting in an SUV in the Wakefield section.
Police said the victim was seated in a black Acura MDX on a residential stretch of E. 223rd Street, near Carpenter Avenue, when the gunman pulled up on a dirt bike around 2 p.m.
The gunman approached the SUV, pulled out a handgun and opened fire through an open, driver-side window, police said.

Video appears to show the SUV reversing down the street as the gunman chases after the vehicle.
The man inside the SUV was not struck by gunfire, according to police.
The gunman fled on the dirt bike, police said.
