NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 67-year-old man was forced against a wall and stripped of his necklace in Queens—one of at least three victims in a string of violent robberies in the borough, police said as they searched for a suspect.
The NYPD released surveillance video Wednesday of the April 11 robbery on 37th Avenue, near 83rd Street, in Jackson Heights.
Police said the 67-year-old victim was walking down the street around 6:35 a.m. when a man came up, forced him against a wall and ripped the chain off of his neck.
Video shows the victim falling to the pavement as the robber runs off with his necklace. He suffered abrasions to his torso and right hand.

Police said Wednesday that they believe two robberies four days earlier on the morning of April 7 are connected to the robbery.
A 31-year-old man was approached from behind, knocked to the ground and kicked in the face and body near 41st Avenue and 81st Street in Elmhurst around 2 a.m.
The suspect in that robbery—which took place right outside Elmhurst Hospital—made off with the victim's backpack.
About an hour later, a 29-year-old man was approached from behind, punched in the head and knocked to the pavement near 85th Street and 35th Avenue in Jackson Heights, police said.
The robber went through the victim's pants pockets and stole $300 in cash, according to police.
Police said they believe the suspect is between 20 and 30 years old.
