VIDEO: Cops search for hit-run driver who injured girl, 12, in NYC

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released disturbing video Thursday showing a BMW driver slamming into a 12-year-old girl in the Bronx as investigators search for the hit-and-run driver responsible.

The dark-colored BMW sedan struck the girl around 4:25 p.m. Sunday as she was crossing Boone Avenue, near E. 174th Street, in the East Morrisania section.

The graphic video shows the car striking the girl, sending her rolling over the hood and roof of the car as onlookers watch in horror.

The driver briefly stops but then takes off moments later, video shows.

The girl suffered multiple lacerations and bruising to her body, police said.

She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
