NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The warden who took the helm at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan after financier Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide there has retired, according to a report.
M. Licon-Vitale's last day on the job was last week, and her retirement officially takes effect in March, the Daily News reported.
Licon-Vitale became the jail's warden at the beginning of 2020, according to the outlet. Eric Williams is now the jail's interim warden.
The Bureau of Prisons didn't immediately respond to the outlet's request for comment, and Licon-Vitale couldn't be reached for comment.
