NEW YORK (1010 WINS)— A 20-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting an assistant principal at a Staten Island high school last month, authorities said.
Sissy Pirir was arrested at around 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 30 inside Port Richmond High School located at 85 St. Josephs Ave. in Port Richmond, officials said.
Pirir is a student in a program where college courses are offered at the high school, sources told SIlive.
According to the report, Pirir and the administrator were having a disagreement about the student's schedule in a hallway inside the school when she allegedly punched him in the face.
He suffered injuries that included redness and substantial pain, but refused medical treatment at the scene.
Pirir was charged with felony and misdemeanor assault and harassment.
She pleaded not guilty to all charges and has been released and a temporary restraining order has been issued in favor of the victim.
Pirir is scheduled to appear in Criminal Court on Feb. 23.
