NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One woman was arrested for arson after she allegedly started a two-alarm fire inside an apartment at a Brooklyn building that caused five people to be hospitalized on Tuesday night, according to fire officials.
According to the NYPD, 34-year-old Anna Lambert, was arrested on second-degree arson charges.

FDNY officials said the blaze started on the third floor in an apartment in a building located on Brighton 13th Street near Brighton Beach Avenue in Brighton Beach just after 9 p.m.
There were approximately 25 units and 106 fire and EMS members on the scene.
Lambert allegedly started the blaze in the apartment during a fight with her mother, the New York Post reported.
Lambert went into a bedroom, locked the door, and poured “an unknown substance on the door,” a police spokesman said.
Firefighters had to battle heavy smoke and flames when they arrived on the scene.
“I made my way to the rear of the building. There was heavy smoke and fire coming from the apartment windows. An individual from that apartment was at the window frantically screaming for help. Firefighter Joseph Roggenkamp from #Ladder169, Firefighter Thomas Dolan from #Ladder161 and myself were able to place a portable 35-foot ladder to where the individual was in the window. I was able to climb up the ladder and reassure this individual not to jump, we needed to do this as quickly but safely as possible. Once we removed the individual from the window fire took hold of the entire apartment. It was a team effort and without everyone doing their part the outcome could have been much worse,” said #FDNY Firefighter Steven McGuire.
The blaze was placed under control at approximately 11 p.m.
Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the flames.
