NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are reportedly looking to question the son of a woman who was found dead at the bottom of a staircase in a Bronx home on Saturday night.
Officers found the 59-year-old woman during a wellness check on Clinton Avenue, near E. 182nd Street, in the Belmont section shortly after 8 p.m.
The woman was unresponsive when she was discovered at the bottom of the staircase. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene, police said.
The woman had a bag over her head and cords wrapped around her neck, sources told the New York Post, which identified the victim as Teresita Rosario.
"They're thinking it's a family member who killed her," one source said.
Police are searching for her 29-year-old son, who reportedly has a history of psychiatric problems.
