NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two suspects accused of posing as bank representatives and allegedly scamming a 78-year-old Bronx woman out of thousands of dollars, authorities said Wednesday.

According to officials, on June 11, the woman received a call at around 11 a.m. from a fake bank employee who informed her that her account had been hacked.

The woman transferred $11,000 in order to fix the issue, the NYPD said.

Two men claiming to be bank representatives went to the woman’s residence in the vicinity of West 239th Street and Henry Hudson Parkway in Riverdale where she met them outside and handed them $13,000 in cash, cops said.

The suspects fled on foot northbound on Henry Hudson Parkway.

There have been no arrests made and an investigation remains ongoing.
