NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD's Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad is probing the death of an 81-year-old woman, struck by a school bus in Lenox Hill on Monday.

Police said Elizabeth Hyman was killed after she was hit by the school bus as it made a right turn on East 72nd Street and 3rd Avenue, striking her as she walked across the street's crosswalk.
The woman was taken by EMS to New York-Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased, the NYPD said.
The 57-year-old school driver remained at the scene as authorities responded.
