NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman died after an attacker stabbed her in the neck and stomach in Brooklyn Tuesday afternoon, the NYPD said.
The woman was stabbed twice at the intersection of Georgia and Belmont avenues in East New York around 2:35 p.m., police confirmed to 1010 WINS.
She was taken to Brookdale University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, the NYPD said. Her name and age weren't immediately released.
Police are now searching for her attacker, an approximately 200-pound male of an unknown age who was wearing all black when the stabbing happened, according to the NYPD.
The department didn't immediately provide any additional information about the stabbing.
