Thorpe, of the Bronx, had injuries indicative of a fall, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The medical examiner will determine her cause of death.
A friend told police that she and Thorpe were going to the roof at the time of the fall, according to the Daily News.
Thorpe's death comes less than a week after Cameron Perrelli, 24, died in a fall from a rooftop in the East Village last Saturday morning.
