NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Newark police are still searching for a pair of men who reportedly kidnapped a woman in their minivan on July 3, forcing her to withdraw $9,000 from her bank account before letting her go.
Authorities say that around 4 p.m. on 100 Adams Street, the two men grabbed the woman by her arm and forced her into their blue Toyota Sienna. They drove the woman to Ferry Street's Santander bank, repeatedly threatening her in the process.
After forcing the woman to withdraw the money from her bank account, the robbers took the money and dropped her off at 300 Ferry Street, near Fillmore Street.
Anyone with information on the suspects can contact the Newark Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
