NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A woman was punched in the face as she tried to retrieve her phone from a man who'd snatched it from her in broad daylight on a Midtown street, police said.
The NYPD released images Wednesday of the man they're searching for in the mugging at West 40th Street and Eighth Avenue on Sunday, Nov. 17.
The 24-year-old victim was walking down the street at 1 p.m. when the man ripped the cellphone away from her, police said.
When she tried to recover the phone, he punched her in the face and fled with the device, according to police.
The victim suffered injuries but was not hospitalized, police said.
