
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage on Monday of a man wanted for slashing, beating and robbing a woman at Brooklyn subway station early Sunday morning.
Just after midnight, a 26-year-old woman was walking down a staircase at the Chauncey Street subway station in Bushwick when she was approached by the suspect, authorities said.
According to officials, the suspect then displayed an unknown sharp object and slashed the woman on the chin. He then pushed the victim to the ground and repeatedly punched her with a closed fist.
The suspect then stole the woman's a cell phone, debit card, headphones and an unknown amount of cash, cops said.
He was last seen exiting the subway station on foot to parts unknown.
EMS transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition where she was treated for minor injuries.
