NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A woman was attacked with a sharp object and slashed several times across the face by a known suspect in a lower Manhattan subway station early Saturday morning, police said.

The fight turned violent when the male suspect, identified by police as 45-year-old Ever Danny Briceno, allegedly slashed the woman multiple times in her face.
Reportedly, police officials said that the assault was a "domestic incident," but the relationship between Briceno and the victim was not made immediately clear.
Authorities said that the victim suffered lacerations across her face and was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
Briceno fled from the station in an unknown direction following the assault, police said.
