NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The body of a woman—who was nude and had traumatic injuries—was found on the rooftop of a Bronx high-rise, sources said Friday.
Her body was discovered at 810 River Ave., a residential building in the Concourse section, just down the block from Yankee Stadium, police said.
A worker at the 17-story building discovered her body and called 911, sources said.
She was unresponsive when police arrive, and EMS pronounced dead at the scene.
She had trauma to her legs and arms, according to sources.
She's said to be 41 years old but hasn't been identified by police as they notify her family.
The medical examiner's office will determine her cause of death as the NYPD investigates.
A woman who has lived at the building since it opened five years ago said she believed the body was a third-floor neighbor. She called the death "heartbreaking" but was also upset at what she called security issues there.
"We've been asking for security for a very long time, and we have not gotten security. There's a lot of drug addicts that come in and out of the building," she said. "There's too many people coming and going in the building. And we complain about it, but they don't assist us with anything."
