NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Monday released surveillance footage of a trio of women accused of menacing a Bronx supermarket employee who caught them shoplifting last month.
At approximately at 8:24 p.m. on Monday, August 21, three women entered the Antillana Supermarket located at 124 West Fordham Rd. in University Heights, and attempted to leave the store without paying for items, authorities said.
When the store manager was preventing the group from leaving, one of the suspects brandished a taser and attempted to strike the victim with it.
The trio then fled on foot westbound on West Fordham Road to parts unknown.
There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
The value of goods was approximately $7, according to police.
The suspects are believed to be approximately 18 to 20 years of age.
