PATERSON, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Officials on Tuesday charged a man in connection to a fatal shooting in New Jersey earlier this month.
Jaleel State, 29, was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second degree, certain persons not to possess a weapon, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
At approximately 1:16 a.m., on October 12, officers were called to the area of Summer Street and Hamilton Avenue in Paterson where they discovered Adalberto Roman, 47, with a gunshot wound to the head.
Roman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
State is currently being held in custody at the Bergen County Jail, awaiting his initial appearance at Central Judicial Processing.
