NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police recovered the body of a man that was found floating off the South Shore of Long Island on Tuesday morning.
Nassau County officers responded around 11 a.m. to a dock on Railroad Place in Island Park after someone spotted the body near the Reynolds Channel.
Police recovered the remains of the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Authorities were working to identify him and determine how he ended up in the water.
The investigation was labeled as a homicide.
