“Every film/TV set that uses guns, fake or otherwise, should have a police officer on set, hired by the production, to specifically monitor weapons safety,” Baldwin tweeted Monday.

Baldwin made the suggestion weeks after he fired a prop gun with a live bullet in it on the set of his movie “Rust,” killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

Baldwin was handed a gun that he was told was safe before the fatal shooting, according to documents.

Baldwin’s Twitter account is currently protected, meaning those who don’t already follow him can’t see it unless he approves their request.

In the wake of the tragic shooting, many working in front of and behind the camera have vowed to stop using live guns on sets.

"We're going to switch over to rubber guns," Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said to Variety. “We're going to take care of it in post. We're not going to worry about the dollars."

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing, but no charges have been filed.
