NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey man faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to robbing a bank last year, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.
The 43-year-old, Seneca Wilson from Clark, admitted responsibility for the incident which happened on April 7, 2021.
Wilson entered Kearny Bank in Rutherford where he handed the teller a note demanding money with no straps on the bills. The teller complied and put about $2,300 cash into a bag Wilson provided, court documents show.
He then took the cash and walked out of the bank.
Along with a prison sentence, Wilson will also have a hefty fine of $250,000 to pay. He is scheduled to be sentenced April 16.
