NJ police seek help identifying woman found dead in waterfront park

CARTERET, N.J. (WCBS 880) — New Jersey State Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman whose remains were found in a waterfront park earlier this month.

The body was discovered on the shore of the Carteret Waterfront Park on Feb. 2.

Police on Thursday released a facial reconstruction sketch of the woman in the hopes that someone recognizes her.

The woman is believed to be of Middle Eastern descent, approximately 20-30 years old, 5’6” tall, and approximately 125 pounds.

She was wearing white Adidas sneakers, black Adidas pants, and a dark grey hoodie layered under a black jacket.

The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons & Human Trafficking Unit and the Carteret Police Department are leading the investigation.
