EATONTOWN, N.J. (1010 WINS) — An unidentified person was injured after coming in contact with a high-tension power line in Eatontown on Saturday, according to police.

The victim was electrocuted near the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Wyckoff Road.

Jersey Central Power & Light cut power to the grid so emergency teams could get to the victim.

Officials said emergency responders rushed the person to a nearby hospital in uncertain condition.

The Long Branch Police Department, which responded to the electrocution, posted reminders on social media to stay away from downed power lines on Saturday.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
